🕸️Manage Website Access
dApp authorization
When you visit a dApp or website such as polkadot.js.org/apps, it will request authorization from the PolkaGate extension to access your list of accounts. This allows the dApp to view only the accounts you choose to share and to request your signature for any transactions it initiates.
The page below shows an example of the authorization pop-up that appears when a dApp requests permission to view your account addresses.

Here, you can select which accounts you want the dApp to access. Keep in mind that these accounts must be visible to dApps for access to work.
To make an account visible or invisible to websites, click the radar icon in the Account Profile on the home page, as shown below:

When an account is visible and authorized for a dApp, the dApp can view the account and initiate transactions, which will then be sent to the PolkaGate extension for your signature.
📃 How do I modify the list of account authorized for websites?
To modify the list of accounts authorized for websites, follow the steps shown below.
In extension mode, open Settings → Account Settings → select Website Access.

On this page, you can view the list of authorized websites and the accounts allowed to connect to them. You can also remove a website from the allowed list or edit the authorized accounts.
In full-screen mode, open Settings → Account Settings tab → select Mange Website Access.

On the opened modal, you can view the list of authorized websites and the accounts allowed to connect to them. You can also remove a website from the allowed list or edit the authorized accounts.
There’s a shortcut in extension mode. If you open the extension on the same tab where an authorized website (dApp) is open, you’ll see the Connection box next to the PolkaGate logo on the Home page, as shown below. Clicking this box will open Manage Website Access directly.
