๐Ÿ•ธ๏ธManage Website Access

dApp authorization

When you visit a dApp or website like polkadot.js.org/apps, the site will request authorization from the PolkaGate extension to access a list of your accounts. This allows the dApp to view only the accounts youโ€™ve chosen to share and to request your signature for transactions initiated by the dApp. The following page displays an example of the authorization pop-up that appears when you visit a sample dApp and it requests permission to view your account addresses:

Here, you can select the accounts you want the dApp to access. Keep in mind that these accounts must remain visible to dApps in order for the dApp to access them. To make an account visible or invisible to websites, you can use the small eye icon located next to each account on the home page, as shown below:

When an account is visible and authorized for a dApp, the dApp can view the account and initiate transactions from it, which will then be sent to the PolkaGate extension for your signature.
